Green Button Connect

Rhode Island Energy

Cut your energy costs with smart insights

Rhode Island Energy is proud to offer Green Button data, which is a joint effort among utilities, technology companies and the federal government to help you save energy and money and to support the development of new energy usage applications and tools.

Securely share your utility data

You now have the option to share your utility data - such as bill history and energy usage - with Rhode Island Energy's authorized third-party vendors, who offer tools and tips to help you save by better understanding your energy costs and exploring potential savings from electric vehicles, solar and other sources. This is a secure feature, and you’re always in control. You can manage or remove authorizations anytime by accessing your Green Button Connect User Profile.

We follow the Green Button Connect standard to ensure your information stays protected throughout the process.

  • For residential and commercial customers

Data sharing is completely optional and requires your consent before any information is shared with a third-party vendor. You can view your current Authorizations within your User Profile on the upper right corner of the AMF Customer Portal Dashboard.

  • For third-party vendors

To request customer data, you must register as an authorized third-party vendor. The link is in blue at the very bottom of the AMF Customer Portal Sign-In page below.
